When Mr and Mrs Gaunt from Holmfirth began planning the next stage of their beautifully landscaped garden, they wanted a space that would allow them to entertain friends and family year-round. The result was a stunning 10m x 6m bespoke garden studio, designed as a luxury home bar and entertainment space that seamlessly blends indoor and outdoor living.
The Gaunts first discovered our garden studios after receiving one of our flyers through their door. Intrigued by the idea of transforming part of their garden into a multi-functional entertaining space, they decided to visit our showroom to see the quality of our buildings first-hand.
After seeing the craftsmanship and design options available, they booked a consultation with Garden Studio Design Consultant Tom, who helped them begin shaping their ideas into a practical and stylish design.
Working Alongside Their Landscape Vision
Prior to contacting us, the Gaunts had already been working with an architect to design the landscaping of their garden. With a clear vision for the outdoor environment, it was essential that the new studio complemented the wider scheme.
Tom worked closely with both the Gaunts and their landscaping team to ensure the garden studio integrated perfectly into the overall design. Careful consideration was given to the positioning, materials and flow between the studio and the garden so the building would feel like a natural extension of the space.
Design & Specification
The final design was a 10m x 6m garden studio with a contemporary aesthetic that complements the surrounding landscaping and the main property.

The combination of natural cedar and anthracite framing gives the studio a premium, architectural look while maintaining a welcoming feel.
Bringing the Outside In
One of the standout features of the studio is the double bifold door configuration, which allows the Gaunts to fully open the space during warmer months. This creates a continuous flow between the indoor bar area and the covered outdoor seating space, perfect for hosting guests.
Whether it’s summer gatherings spilling out onto the deck or cosy evenings inside with the bar stocked and music playing, the space was designed to adapt to every occasion.

Inside, the studio has been transformed into a stylish home bar and entertainment lounge. Comfortable seating, a bespoke bar area and ambient lighting create a relaxed atmosphere ideal for socialising.
The generous 10m x 6m footprint means the Gaunts have plenty of room to entertain guests without feeling crowded, making it the perfect setting for parties, celebrations or simply unwinding with friends.
The Result
The completed garden studio has become one of the standout features of the Gaunts’ garden. By combining high-quality materials, thoughtful design and close collaboration with their landscaping plans, the project delivered a space that feels both luxurious and perfectly integrated into its surroundings.
